Literature Circle
Need an idea on how to use "Ancient Quest" in your classroom? Well, you have come to the right page. Ancient Quest comes with a "readers guide" included at the end of the book but I have discovered that there is a better way to get more out of the material. I conduct Literature Circles for each chapter. I have found this to be a good way to dig deeper into the stories and get more out of them. Each unit that I teach goes along with a chapter in the book. So, each unit, we focus on the correlating chapter. The literature circle is actually less work for the individual student, but they end up getting a lot more out of it when they discuss it in their lit. circles together. Literature Circles is a concept that I by no means created, but have found that it works well with this book. Below, you will find the literature circle jobs I use for this project.
